Three unidentified miscreants looted about Rs 4 lakh from a businessman, Sudam Sahoo, by opening blank fire at the Adaba village bus-stand under Mohana block in Gajapati district late on late Friday night.
The incident took place when Sahoo, a resident of Shaktinagar under the Badabazaar police station in Brahmapur, had come to Mohana for collection of business money.
Panicked by the firing, Sahoo gave away the money to the culprits. A case has been registered in this connection and investigation is on to nab the culprits, said Adaba police station IIC Anama lakra.
