In a daring broad daylight robbery, unidentified armed miscreants looted Rs 3.97 lakh from two staffs of the Kalunga LAMPS office under the Brahmanitarang police station in the district on Friday.
The staffs of the Large Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative Societies (LAMPS) office in Kalunga were on their way to another office when three bike-borne miscreants intercepted them at a lonely place.
The looters then threatened them by brandishing guns and sharp weapons and snatched the cash bag from them and sped away from the spot.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by the staffs, the Brahmanitarang police are investigating into the incident and have launched a hunt to nab the miscreants.
