Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 1 lakh from an elderly man at Bridge Chhak under the Anandapur police station in Keonjhar district on Tuesday.
The victim identified as Tapan Jena of Adahuria village had withdrawn the money from the State Bank of India Anandapur branch and was returning home in the morning when the loot took place.
Two bike-borne miscreants intercepted Jena after he alighted from the bus near Anandpur Bridge Chhak. They snatched the bag with the money and sped away from the spot. Jena lodged a case with the Anandapur police in connection with the incident. Police have launched a hunt to trace the miscreants.
