In broad daylight, two motorcycle-borne miscreants fled after snatching a bag containing Rs 12 lakh from a person near the Apartibindha SBI Branch in Bhadrak town on Thursday.
The victim, identified as Ashok Ku Khillar, a local resident, had withdrawn the cash from the bank and was going to keep the bag in the side box of his two-wheeler. The miscreants who were trailing him snatched the bag and fled from the spot.
Reportedly, the victim had withdrawn the amount for some property deals.
Some locals tried to nab the miscreants but failed as the duo sped away on their motorbike.
Getting information, police reached the spot for investigation. Later, they sealed the entry and exit points of the town.
