Excise Department per n sonnel on Wednesday seized brown sugar worth Rs 11 lakh and arrested a person in this connection in the district.
Ona tipoff, excise sleuths raided a house at Sadanandapur village under the Basta police station and seized 105 gm of the contraband worth Rs 11 lakh from a person.
The person was taken into custody for further interrogation, said an excise official. He is suspected to be involved with a big racket active in the district, the official added.
