The Vigilance police, which is investigating into the disproportionate assets (DA) cases of Additional PCCF Abhay Kant Pathak, on Thursday detected further cash deposits of Rs 1.28 crore in his bank accounts at Bhubaneswar and Pune.
Thus, the total amount of deposits in his three bank accounts till date has gone up to Rs 16.05 crore. Out of this, the cash deposit amount is Rs 10.76 crore.
Besides, bank accounts and insurance policies of Pathak have also been traced at Brahmapur and Balangir. Apart from this, bank accounts in his family members’ names have been traced at Brahmapur and are under verification.
