An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) fell off a moving train while trying to nab a snatcher and lost his two legs at the Khordha station on Tuesday evening.
According to reports, the legs of Kishore Kumar Behera came under the wheels of the train after he slipped off the Prashanti Express while he was running after the looter.
Behera was rushed to a local hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
His condition was stated to be critical.
