In a minor reshuffle in senior IPS officer level, the State Government on Thursday promoted Twin City Commissioner of Police Dr Rajendra Prasad Sharma to the DGP rank and appointed him as the Director General of the State Vigilance.
The post of the Director General of Vigilance was lying vacant since Kanwar Brajesh Singh was appointed as the Director General of Police.
Dr Sharma, who is now Special Director, Vigilance, was replaced by YB Khurania as Twin City Commissioner of Police. The Government too promoted incumbent Crime Branch ADG BK Sharma to the DGP level and appointed him as Special DGP, Crime Branch (CID).
