The Mahila police here registered a case against a 26-year-old man on Sunday for allegedly ditching his lover after keeping physical relationship with her.
Niraj Thakur of Birmitrapur had been keeping physical relationship with sangita (name changed), a resident of Sector-20 here her since 2010. In 2013, when the family members of Sangita came to know about her relationship, they warned her to keep distance from Niraj. But Niraj continued to keep physical relationship promising her to marry.
Recently, when Sangita came to know that Niraj has married to another girl, she contacted Kasturaba Gandhi Mahila Morcha secretary Sushama Singh and narrated her plight who along with the girl lodged an FIR against Thakur on Sunday .The police are further investigating the case, said Mahila PS IIC Prativa Majhi.
