The Rotary Club of Banpur-Balugaon held a blood donation and eye checkup camp at Barkul on Sunday. Thirty units of blood were collected from Rotarians and others under the supervision of Khordha Blood Bank Medical Officer Dr SP Panigrahi.
Eye checkup of 150 persons was done under the supervision of Dr Sarat Chandra Dash and spectacles were distributed. After tests, 12 people were referred to the Rotary Eye Hospital for cataract operation.
Among others, former district governor of Rotary Club Sibaprasad Dash, new district governor Bhawani Prasad Choudhuri and assistant governor PK Mishra, former presidents of the club Dr Jogendranath Senapati, Bijaya Kumar Nanda, Baidyanath Panigrahi, Omprakash Agrawal and Prabin Kumar Jena were present.
