Truly, love is blind. A one-sided love dragged a youth behind bars for the second time on Tuesday who had also earlier been arrested and sent to jail for allegedly proposing a young woman here.
The Commissionerate police arrested a Fire Service employee, Subudhi Kandi (29) of Naranagarh village under the Jankia police limits in Khordha district, who was later sent to the Jharpada jail after rejection of his bail plea in a local court
He was arrested on the charge of humiliating a PhD student of a private engineering college at Khandagiri.
The accused had a one-sided love with the woman and used to beg her love frequently, following which the victim had filed a complaint with police. The police had forwarded the roadside Romeo to court arresting him on November 13.
However, he did not spare the PhD scholar after returning from jail on bail. On Tuesday evening, Kandi misbehaved with her and threatened to splash acid on her if she ignored his marriage proposal.
Police reached the spot on being informed about the incident and took Kandi into custody and forwarded him to court. later, he was sent to jail on rejection of his bail plea.
