The recent problem in Myanmar and fleeing of Rohingya militants, refugees will create havoc in our country if adequate steps are not taken. As vote bank politics, some State Governments, which pretend to be secular, may give asylum to these refugees causing a tsunami-like situation. Opposition parties are bent upon defaming the present Union Government; hence, they can go to any extent even at the cost of the country’s economy and freedom. We know our border forces and defence capabilities on land and sea. Taking advantage of our lapses, these refugees may sneak into Odisha through sea to Baleswar and Kendrapada. We have not overcome the economic crisis of the Bangladesh War and the Bangladeshi refugees. If these Rohingya Muslim refugees get inside our country, it will result in economic catastrophe. Both State and Central Governments must be alert on this serious issue.
