Delegates of the East Coast Railway Engineers’ Association (ECoREA) had a discussion with Mayurbhanj BJP MP Er Bishweswar Tudu here on Monday on the long-pending issues of railway engineers. Recently, the accounts staffs have been recommended for a second-time up-gradation of 2019 to Department of Personnel & Training (DOPT) whereas the case of railway engineers is pending since 2009 in the Finance Ministry, they further pointed out.

At the end, they submitted a memorandum to MP Er Tudu also agreed that it would affect the safety due to frustration. He assured to raise the issues before the Railway Ministry, Finance Ministry and DOPT at New Delhi. ECoREA president Bobin Mohanty, seceretary Bishnu Prasad Dash and vice-president Dusashan Sahoo represented the association during the discussion.
