As announced in the Railway Budget, the authorities have decided to introduce a new DMU train between Rourkela and Sambalpur to and fro with effect from Sunday. The DMU would be introduced from Rourkela and would run as a special train from both the directions. However, regular run of this train would commence from June 8 from both the directions.
As per schedule, the train will leave Rourkela at 7.25 am daily except Sunday and arrive at Sambalpur at 10.55 am on the same day. In the return direction, the Sambalpur-Rourkela DMU will leave Sambalpur at 11.40 am daily except Sunday and arrive at Rourkela at 16.05 pm. The DMU has stoppages at Panposh, Kalunga, Kansbahal, Rajgangpur, Sonakhan, Sagra, Garposh, Tangarmunda, Bamra, Dharuadih, Bagdehi, Panpali, Dhutra, Jharsuguda, Brundamal, lapanga, Rengali, Sason and Sambalpur Road between Rourkela and Sambalpur.
