A Sub-Inspector of Police of the Sector-7 police station has been suspended on the charge of dereliction of duty. Sources said that due to the negligence of SI of Police lD Murmu, one Bobby Bisoi (38) was killed by her neighbourer on June 12.
Chatura Naik (36) and Sunita Naik (26) and another couple Bobby Bisoi (38) and Babula Bisoi (43) had been residing as neighbourers in Ambedkar slum at Sector-5 here. In March, Babula Bisoi was jailed after raping Chatura’s wife Sunita.
“Following the arrest of Babula, his wife Bobby was staying along with her two sons and a daughter. Chatura and his wife Sunita used to quarrel with Bobby. On June 11 evening, Bobby and his elder son had come to Sector-7 police station and met SI lD Murmu and complained him against Chatura and his wife. But the SI allegedly did not act promptly on the complaint resulting in the death of Bobby,” said the police.
On June 12, Chatura and his wife Sunita again quarreled with Bobby and in a fit of rage, Chatura picked up a sword and attacked Bobby Bisoi resulting in her death on the spot.
