Income Tax sleuths conducted raids on the office and house of iron ore transporter at Barsuan and Rourkela simultaneously on Tuesday. However, the sleuths did not divulge details about the raid.
Sources said about 40 I-T officials conducted raids on the office of Basukinath Road Ways at Barsuan and its owner’s house at ZZ-6, Civil Township from morning till evening. It is alleged that the firm has been evading tax payment since 2006.
