A eunuch setting an example of humanity has donated blood to a patient suffering from blood deficiency and undergoing treatment in the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
What is more significant, donor Jaya, a third gender and about 32 years old, had come all the way from Rourkela to accomplish the noble job in Baleswar for a 22 years old girl patient, who has been under treatment for about three months.
The patient while was in dire need of AB negative blood, it was neither available in the blood bank ran by the Red Cross nor in the nearby centres. The requirement for blood was posted in various social media sites urging people of the group to help her.
After learning about the need, Jaya, who too possesses AB negative blood, volunteered for the cause and she donated blood here. The act of Jaya has moved one and all while she drew wide acclamation from people of every walk of life.
The blood bank doctor, besides appreciating the act of the third gender, said the blood would be transfused to the patient following mandatory test clearance.
