The Institution of Engineers (India) Rourkela centre organised a technical paper meeting on ‘Attitude Is Everything’ on Saturday. While the institution’s joint secretary Harjit Singh Kanvel presented a brief introduction on the theme, chairman U Mishra spoke on its significance and what influences an attitude.
Assistant general manager of Hot Strip Mill, Rourkela Steel Plant KK Pandey said attitude is a complex mental state, which involves beliefs, values and dispositions to act in certain ways.He described various consequences of bad attitude including erosion of team spirit, poor quality service and communication and productivity sufferings.Pandey also highlighted various theories on attitudinal change and suggested to create a positive attitude at workplace.
