The Rourkela Mahila Police on Sunday arrested and forwarded to court a couple for allegedly refusing to accept their son’s girlfriend as daughter-in-law. A 29-year-old girl of laukera lodged an FIR against one Gautam Kansari of Chhend colony alleging that they had been keeping physical relationship for the last ten years on the latter’s marriage assurance. But, recently, Gautam refused to marry her and his parents also did not accept her as daughter-in-law, she alleged. Acting on the FIR, the police arrested Gautam’s parents, Uday Kansari(55) and Mangala Kansari(51). But Gautam was still absconding. The police have also sent the girl for medical examination. “Key accused Gautam is absconding. We will nab him very soon,” said IIC Prativa Majhi.
