Anti-drugs activists Md Imran Ali and Sk Mohd Niyaz met Bhadrak Rajesh Pandit and briefed him about the rising drug culture in the Bhadrak Municipality area and requested him for stringent action against the offenders. The SP assured the activists of necessary action. Imran said it is very upsetting to see the local youths being trapped in drug abuse.
To wean away the youths from drug addiction is the duty of the family, community, police, local administration, educational institutions, socio- cultural leaders, media houses, intellectuals, political leaders and every section of society, said Niyaj.
“We would create awareness and senitise the youths for a drug-free society through our organisation Salaam Jeevan,” said Imran.
