Several posters of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena in the city were torn and disfigured by some friends of deceased engineering student Ashutosh alias Rishi Mohanty on Tuesday night.
The youths also shouted slogans against the Mayor after tearing the posters.
In a video clip, the youths have also threatened to launch an agitation from January 25 if there would be delay in justice in the Rishi murder case, sources said.
It is alleged that there is a link between the controversial video footage purportedly showing the Mayor in a sexual scene with a woman and the murder of Rishi.
