Rift hits Kosal Dal as Mishra is suspended

The August 26 Mahabandh in western Odisha, called byn the Kosal State Coordination Committee, is likely to fail by all means as there is a sharp division in the Kosal Kranti Dal (KKD) after the suspension of Baidyanath Mishra from party vice-president post. The suspension drama was scripted in Balangir and enacted in Jharsuguda, alleged Mishra at a Press conference here. He said he has been removed from the party in an unconstitutional manner and without any decorum and public decency.
Mishra said he would vindicate himself by creating public opinion in his favour through the media, exert pressure on the decision makers from socio-cultural organisations spread in various districts of western Odisha and then move court of law, if required, for justice. The Kosli Ekta Manch (KEM), the KKD’s mother organisation at Rourkela, in a resolution has demanded immediate withdrawal of Mishra’s suspension order. The resolution copy is signed by Mahipal Bag and Markanda luha, president and general secretary of the KEM Rourkela district unit, respectively, along with its advisor Pitabash Mishra. Establishing supremacy or fulfilment of the ambition to become a messiah cannot be achieved through foul play or by relegating a political party into a corner, Mishra said, adding KKD would bounce back with a new incarnation.
