The Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA) Odisha chapter’s two-day 13th Annual Conference has begun on Saturday in Puri. Rheumatologists from across the nation have gathered to discuss, interact and exchange ideas and various developments in the field of rheumatology.
The theme of the conference is “Emerging trends in Rheumatology.”
The scientific sessions would cover among other topics, preclinical rheumatic diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus, pediatric rheumatic diseases, large vessel vasculitis, fibromyalgia and related conditions, rheumatic diseases initiated by infectious agents.
East Zone Rheumatology Association (EZRA) president Prof (Dr) Alakendu Ghosh, secretary Dr Pradyot Sinhamahapatra, IRA Odisha president Dr Bharat Panigrahy, Prof (Dr) Bidyut Kumar Das, Dr Ashok Kumar Parida, Dr Satyapriya Mishra, Dr Jyoti Ranjan Parida and Dr Ramnath Mishra were among others present and spoke. Around 250 delegates have attended.
