R'gada tribal students taught dancing

The State Resource Centre (SRC) managed by NGO Agragamee organised an exchange of art and culture programme for school students facilitated by internationally acclaimed Odissi artist Ramli Bin Ibrahim from Malaysia.

Ibrahim imparted dancing skill to the inmates of Mukta Gnayan Kutir, a school at Agragamee campus. His Shiva Tandaba dance coupled with traditional drum beats of Adivasis in the village enthralled the school children and the villagers.

Artist Dr Dinanath Pathi also joined the initiative with a team of students of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhubaneswar and imparted various painting techniques to the tribal students.

During a reception event organised here, Ibrahim and Pathi shared their experience with the local denizens and admired the effort of tribal children and Agragamee’s work in the backward region like Rayagada where quality education is a need of the hour. Dr Chandan Singh moderated the whole event and extended vote of thanks.
