School and Mass Education Secretary Usha Padhee on Thursday said the Department is all set to introduce ‘reward’ provision for the district and block level educational administrators who would discharge their duties effectively in implementing various Government schemes at their respective levels.
“Imparting quality education is our top priority. Field-level officials like District Education Officers (DEOs) and Block Education Officers (BEOs) are the key to ensure this in schools. Our department will reward those DEOs and BEOs who will show outstanding achievements in the field,” Padhee said while addressing the inaugural session of a two-day State-level conference of DEOs and BEOs.
She also informed that those found underperforming would be punished.
“Quality education is the need of the hour. Without quality education neither a good personality nor a good student will be produced. Hence, the State Government is taking many reforms to improve quality education, and the teachers and the educational administrators should always focus on the quality teaching,” Chief Secretary JK Mohapatra observed on the occasion.
Union Government Human Resources Development Joint Secretary Radha Chouhan along with many State-level officials attended the conference. The conference will conclude on Friday.
