Resentment among the BJD rank and file over non-inclusion of MlAs in the recently-reshuffled Council of Ministers continues unabated in different parts of the State.
In Subarnapur district, supporters of Birmaharajpur MlA Padmanabh Behera on Tuesday resorted to protest over the legislator not being appointed as a Minister.
Holding placards bearing the photographs of Behera, who is also a former Minister, several BJD workers staged the protest at Birmaharajpur shouting slogans against the injustice done to him.
Earlier, BJD workers from Sundargarh and Sambalpur had also revolted over Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik not including anyone from the districts in his Council of Ministers. Besides, three senior MlAs of Jajpur district Amar Prasad Satpathy, Debasis Nayak and Pramila Mallick, who are former Ministers, have come out in the open against non-inclusion of anyone from the district in the Ministry.
