A review meeting on the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) in the urban areas of the district was held on Wednesday. MP RK Jena chaired the meeting and expressed displeasure over the utilisation of fund and activities undertaken by the urban authorities.
He said the fund was hardly spent and other performances including IEC were poor. Performance of the Baleswar Municipality was also below satisfaction, he added.
Jena further asked the officials to present fact and figures of their performance and urged them to accelerate the projects under SBM.
District Collector Pramod Das, DRDA PD Uday Narayan Das, the Baleswar Municipality Chairman and the executive officers were present in the meeting.
The Collector asked the DRDA PD to conduct review meeting in each month with the executive officers.
