The Retired Employees’ and Teachers’ Development Association organised its 13th State-level annual convention in Bhubaneswar recently.
Inaugurating the meet, Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera said the pension dues of the retired employees would be disbursed by March 29.
Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Minister Prafulla Samal and reception committee president Priyadarshi Mishra were present.
After listening to association members about their 11 demands, Samal said all the demands are justified and would be considered sympathetically. He also said that the retired employees’ play a vital role in making various Government schemes reach people’s doorsteps.
Association State general secretary lokanath Mishra read out the annual report and presented the demands. Retired employees and teachers from Chhatrapur, Bhanjanagar, Chikiti and Kukudakhandi of Ganjam district and other districts participated.
