Putting all speculations to rest, the Baleswar Child Welfare Committee (CWC) on Thursday allowed the grandparents of the four-year old girl, who was rescued from a locked-up house in Bhubaneswar two days ago, to take custody of the child.
The grandparents were conditionally granted custody of the child, who would stay with them at their residence at Gopalgaon in Baleswar.
Taking note that the girl is more comfortable with her grandparents, the CWC made it clear that the child would not be allowed alone with her parents. The committee also asked the grandparents to take its permission if they want to move the child out of Baleswar.
