The State Selection Board (SSB) has now become a questionable entity with many of students, who appeared tests for 825 Junior Lecturer posts in March this year, complaining that the examinations were not conducted authentically.
While finalisation of Odia subject results is awaiting a High Court order, the fates of other subject examinees are hanging under shadow too for various reasons.
Questions on Physics, Chemistry and other Science subjects came out of the course and multiple choices provided in answer-sheets were also not free from error.
“There was no transparency in examinations. We were asked to give our answer in an OMR like system,” alleged Bhagawan Mishra,
a student who had appeared for the test.
“Why we were not allowed to appear the test online for more clarity and transparency and why we were forced to tick OMR sheets?” wanted to know another student.
All these students have demanded cancellation of the SSB recruitment examinations and early reschedule of the tests on online mode.
“We smell massive irregularities in the SSB tests. Let there be an online test so that honest, poor and meritorious candidates can get appropriate results,” urged other Science students Bijoy Mishra, Snigdha Satapathy, B Nayak and S Patnaik.
They appealed to the Chief Minister and the Higher Education Minister to personally consider their demand.
