Speakers attending a meeting at Eranch village in Cuttack district to mark the 320nd birth anniversary of French philosopher Voltaire urged the State Government to exclude religion from politics and administration.
“In France no Government assistance is being provided to any religion for any purpose. Religion has no place in politics in France. Hence, the same method should be applied in India, Pakistan, Sri lanka thereby facilitating elimination of religion based terrorism,” observed litterateur Prof Prasanna Kumar Karabara. Many renowned persons attended the event and highlighted the philosophy of Voltaire and its importance in the present context.
