The State BJP Yuba Morcha, under the leadership of its president Umakant Patnaik, staged a demonstration here on Friday against the relief loot by Cuttack BJD corporators and leaders led by MlAs Prabhat Biswal and Debasis Samantray and demanded their immediate arrest.
The suspension and transfer of Corporator Madhusudan Sahu along with the CMC Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner in this scam are only eyewash, Umakanta Patnaik said. Even the Vigilance inquiry is nothing more than lingering of the issue, he said.
Relief loot is rampant in the State by ruling BJD leaders, but the Government is not taking it seriously.
Despite the Chief Minister’s announcement for stern action against culprits under the ESMA, no one has been booked under the Act. The Cuttack Mayor is moving free, said Patnaik.
