Reflection of people's loss of trust on Centre: BJD

The BJD on Saturday said farmers and weavers of Bargarh district showed their discontentment and anger over the Narendra Modi Government during visit of the two Union Ministers, Santosh Gangwar and Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti.

“The anger of farmers and weavers seen during the two Union Ministers’ visit to Bargarh is an reflection of people’s disapproval to the Modi Government,” said Biju Yuba Janata Dal general secretary Bijay Nayak and RS member Prasanna Acharya.

He said farmers and weavers strongly protested the Ministers’ visits as the Centre has failed to keep its promises the Prime Minister had made during his earlier Odisha visits.

On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said the BJD has publicly supported the attack on convoy of the two Ministers.

“Instead of tendering apology for attack on the two union ministers, the BJD has openly supported the ghastly act. It is deplorable and condemnable,” said Sharma.

Party’s Odisha in-charge Arun Singh said the Naveen Patnaik Government has revived the Emergency situation that had defamed the country 41 years ago.
