Reengineering of public services stressed

Chief Secretary AP Padhi on Tuesday stressed on reengineering of public delivery processes so that people would get all services appropriately and timely. Padhi said this while inaugurating a State-level workshop in this regard here.

“The State Government is committed to fulfill its obligation of providing hassle free services to the people. For this, it has legislated Right to Public Services Act. The objectives of the Act can be achieved by easing the process of delivery of public services,” he said.

He stressed on Aadhaar linking instead of affidavits and attestations for identity proof to get public services.

Padhi unfolded CAP brochures for delivery of public services. The CAP would be a common service delivery portal for all G2C and G2B services and would be accessible at Common Service Centers (CSCs).

A person would apply for any G2C service thorough a common application available on this portal. He would get an online acknowledgement about date of application and due date of delivery of the service.

The system would signal an automated alert to the designated officer.

The Government has already notified around 324 services under the ORTPS Act in 5 different phases.

The affidavits and attestations in 85 services of 11 departments have also been abolished.

Presently, General Administration Department has initiated steps for process reengineering and waiver of affidavits in almost all G2C services.
