Keeping in view of the dengue menace in the State, the Indian Red Cross Society, State Branch organised an awareness campaign here on Thursday. Family Welfare Director Dr Nirmala Dei inaugurated the programme.
Red Cross members, volunteers and counsellors of the State branch formed a human chain and disseminated information regarding the causes and remedies of dengue by holding placards and distributing leaflets. Over 400 junior and youth Red Cross volunteers, counsellors from 15 different colleges and schools and Red Cross life members participated.
