In a major jolt to 12 Congress MlAs who had recently visited New Delhi reportedly against the State leadership, the AICC has directed them to hold talks with PCC president Prasad Harichandan and leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra on July 30 about their grievances, sources said on Sunday.
MlAs had visited Delhi and met Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi on July 21.
But the High Command reportedly expressed their resentment as the MlAs visited Delhi without the knowledge of Harichandan and Mishra.
Meanwhile, Deputy Opposition Chief Whip Chiranjib Biswal refuted the allegation levelled by senior party leader lalatandu Bidyadhar Mohapatra that the 12 MlAs, including Biswal, were in Delhi to lobby against party Chief Whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati.
"How lulubabu knew that we are against BahinipatiIJ This is totally baseless. We are not against anyone in the party," said Biswal.
