RDC Niranjan Sahoo discussed with OTPCL Marichakana Nuagaonbila Displaced Trade Union leader Er Debashisha Hota in presence of Dhenkanal Collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera on the various demands of the displaced people.
The villagers were holding a peaceful dharna in front of the Dhenkanal Collectorate on Wednesday when the union leader was called for the meeting.RDC Sahoo assured to fulfill all demands of the displaced during the 20-minute discussion with Er Hota just before the 2nd RPDAC meeting in Dhenkanal.The demands of the union included publication of a fresh list of displaced people considering all as majors including girls; permanent job agreement with all displaced before their dislocation; maintenance of all displaced till their permanent engagement; supply of certified copies of all designs, drawings, estimates, quality control and agreements of construction of displaced colony; construction of a concrete wall surrounding the colony with well furnished inter-connected roads, electric and drinking water facilities with Kalyan Mandap, school and other amenities etc. "I hope the OTPCL company authorities will fulfill all demands as today’s discussion with the RDC was positive," Er Hota said.
