A team the Rourkela Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI) led by president Sunil Kayal met Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram at the latter’s residence here and discussed with him about present position of trade, business and industry of Sundargarh district.
The team apprised him about the slowdown in the steel sector and also critical position arisen thereof. They requested Oram to facilitate appointment with President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers of Railways, MSME, Renewal Energy, Mines, Civil Aviation, Petroleum and Coal.
The team members present at the meeting were RCCI vice-presidents Moloy Mandal and Gurmeet Singh, general secretary Alok M losalka, Secretaries Praveen Garg, Bishwanath Dey and Rishi Arya and special invitee Dhiren Senapati.
Oram assured them of all cooperation.
later, the delegates also met State Steel and Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick in presence of Raghunathpalli MlA Subrat Tarai and Rourkela Development Authority Chairman Sarada Nayak and discussed trade issues.
