The commissionerate police on Wednesday rejected the renewal license of Ravi Talkies, one of the oldest cinema halls of the city owing to lack of adequate fire safety measures. Police officials said that the cinema hall did not produce the fire clearance certificate while applying for the license renewal. Police officials said that as per norm any cinema hall needs to produce fire clearance certificate with licensing authority (Commissionerate police) and they need to renew their licenses every year.
