As many as 784 students from different academic programmes of the Ravenshaw University got jobs in campus recruitments conducted by many leading companies, including the Wipro, the Infosys, the Accenture, the Tech Mahindra and the TCS, during the current session 2015-16.

Despite increasing competition and an unstable job market scenario, the students from different streams, both undergraduate and post-graduate, of the university have been selected after written test, group discussion and personal interview.

Wipro emerged as the biggest recruiter of the season by picking 270 students followed by TCS and Cognizant with 172 and 164 students, respectively. Similarly, the Infosys, the Tech Mahindra, the Accenture and the Kalinga TV selected 132, 4, 35 and 5 students, respectively.

“We have made a record in successful placement of the students this year in comparison to past years. The university has performed better as compared to other institutions in the State,” said Vice-Chancellor Prof. PC Sarangi.
