The gender sensitisation committee against sexual harassment of Ravenshaw University probing into the allegation levelled against students’ welfare dean Parthasarathi Mishra would submit its report to the university Vice Chancellor on Wednesday.

Mishra, an OAS officer posted in the university on deputation, is facing sexual harassment allegation brought against him by a final year computer science student of the university.

Basing on the complaints of the girl, the university VC Prof BC Tripathy had asked the committee to investigate into the allegation and submit a report.

“The committee on Tuesday questioned Mishra and recorded his statements. It had also recorded the statement of the complainant on Monday,” informed university registrar Dr P K Jena, adding that the committee would submit its report to the VC on Wednesday.

The VC had earlier declared that on the basis of findings of the committee further course of action would be taken.

“If found guilty, the accused shall be placed under suspension and handed over to police for prosecution as per the law,” Tripathy had told the reporters on Monday.
