The city police are keeping a watch as the anti-ragging committee of the Ravenshaw University here is currently probing an allegation of ragging reported on Tuesday evening.
Multiple sources confirmed on Wednesday that a Plus III second year student has made written complaints that he is being tortured and bullied by a group of senior students repeatedly. Police said the victim was thrashed by his seniors after he was asked to kneel down holding his ears on the road when he was returning to the campus from a nearby market on Tuesday evening.
“Since the matter is currently being investigated by the anti-ragging committee of the university, we are keeping a close watch on the developments,” said local Malgodown police sources.
