With an aim to provide information electronically and to promote Digital India, the East Coast Railway launched Rath Yatra Mobile App ‘ECOR Yatra’ on July7 for the benefit of the passengers, especially to the devotees, who are coming to witness the festival at Puri.
Passengers having android based smart phones can download this App from Google Play Store and can get the information related to different regular and special trains and other facilities by the East Coast Railway during the Rath Yatra festival.
Information and facilities in the ECOR Yatra App are on special trains scheduled to run during the Rath Yatra period i.e. from July 13to 24; train live information including platform numbers allocation at Puri for respective trains; facilities of tourism, retiring rooms and Mela shed arrangements made available through IRCTC; Rath Yatra ritual schedule; on 40 special additional ticket counters at Puri and at wayside stations; transport facilities at Puri by the OSRTC and pre-paid taxi along with fares; seat availability, fare enquiry, NTES and PNR enquiry linked.
Both reserved and unreserved tickets can be booked through this App.
Videos on use of Automatic Ticket vending Machine (ATVM) and Unreserved Ticketing System on Mobile (UTS on Mobile) can be viewed from this App.
