The Rath Yatra was celebrated with fervour and gaiety in Pallahara on Thursday.
As per traditions, the priests mounted the deities on their respective chariots after performing the rituals of Pahandi and Chherapanhara. Later, devotees pulled the chariots to the Mausi Maa temple.
The district administration made elaborate security arrangements for the event. SDPO Jasobanta Samal, Pallahara Sub-Collector Ajit Pradhan, Pallahara MLA Mukesh Pal, PWD Assistant Executive Engineer Akshya Sahu and other officials were present.
