Continuing its demolition drive, the eviction squad of the BDA, BMC and GA Department demolished some unauthorised religious structures near Rasulgarh Square here for expansion of National Highway-5.
The joint eviction team demolished the Maa Tarini, Maa Kochalai, Siva and Basanti Durga temples. While the Maa Tarini and Maa Kochalai temples were situated in the left side of NH-5 towards Cuttack, the Siva and Basanti Durga temples were situated on the other side of the NH.
The drive was conducted by BDA Enforcement Officer Debaprasad Dash and liaison Officer Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty along with GAD and BMC officials. Adequate security arrangements were made to avoid any untoward incident.
