Former skipper of Odisha Ranji team Haladhar Das was detained by the Commissionerate police for causing a series of accidents in the city by rash driving on Sunday.
Das was chased and intercepted by local people at the Chahata road after he hit as many as four vehicles on the road and injured a number of persons between Mangalabag Square and Chahataghat.
later, he was handed over to the Bidanasi police, who detained him for questioning.
