Rapid Antibody test in BBSR soon

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary on Monday informed that Rapid Antibody test for Covid-19 would be introduced in the State capital by the end of this week.

He told reporters that a target has been set to conduct 2,000 to 2,500 tests. Micro plans are being made as to how and in which areas the test would be conducted. It is part of the serological survey. A team from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) would collaborate with  the existing teams here for conduct of the tests.

On speculations about an announcement of a shutdown in the capital city, Chaudhary said, “Shutdown is a well-thought process. As of now, there is no such discussion in this regard. So, let’s not go with the rumours. We will inform when any such decision is taken.”
