BB Mohanty, an Odia IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre who was accused of raping a 23-year-old woman and absconding since 2014, has surrendered to police at Jaipur.
Mohanty surrendered at the ACP office at Sodala on Monday evening, reports said quoting Jaipur South DCP Yogesh Dadich. His medical tests were conducted on Tuesday, reports added.
In January 2014, a woman had accused Mohanty of raping her in February 2013.
As per the victim, Mohanty, on the promise of helping her clear the IAS examination, raped her on February 19, 2013 at his flat at New Sanganer Road. On the basis of allegation, the Government has suspended Mohanty
