The uncertainty over renovation and beautification of the Ramlingam Tank here is now over with Brahmapur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Nikhil Pawan Kalyan saying that beautification work would begin on June 9.
The project cost would be around Rs 8.5 crore, which would be spent from the Odisha Infrastructure Development Fund, informed Kalyan.
He further informed that the tender process has been completed by the Brahmapur Municipal Corporation.
According to decision, the embankment to Premnagar and Gautamnagar sides would be renovated with stone packing. Parking for vehicles, foot parks, light and sound systems and fountains would be put up around the tank.
Plans are there to construct an over-bridge and create boating system in coming days, said the Commissioner.
