Many BJD workers, senior party functionaries, senior citizens led by Rambha NAC Chairperson Soudamini Biswal and Vice-Chairman Gadadhara Parida gave an warm reception to former Assembly Deputy Speaker Rama Chandra Panda at Rambha in his home district Ganjam on Thursday.
Panda recently resigned from the BJP and joined the BJD.
Two former Chairpersons of Rambha NAC, Bijay Biswal and Gopal Tarai and youth leader Narayan Pattnaik were also present at Panda’s reception. Biswal recalled the contributions made by Panda for the people of Rambha town. Panda’s entry into the BJD would certainly strengthen the party, he said.
In his reply to the reception, Panda sought cooperation of all leaders to strengthen the hands of BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik. later, he made an informal review of the development works to be undertaken in future for welfare of the local people.
